About Us.

ESG in Practice is led by founder, Oliver Milliner, who has over thirteen years experience as an ESG & sustainability professional. ​​

​

Oliver started his career as a project manager in New Zealand for Proxima Global, a niche corporate sustainability consultancy specialising in GRI and strategy development. Oliver then then joined publicly listed company KMD Brands Limited for four years as their sustainability lead. Working on their wider strategy, governance and reporting programs - this resulted in award winning and industry leading outcomes.

After returning to the UK, Oliver currently works as the Head of Sustainability for Falmouth Exeter Plus (FX Plus) and operates in a similar capacity directly for the University of Exeter and Falmouth University. Focussing on strategic development, reporting and operational/facilities delivery, his experience spans across three different industries. ​​

Oliver is a member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (MIEnvSc) holding a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) & Chartered Scientist (CSci). He is also a fellow member (FCMI) with the Chartered Management Institute as well holding a Chartered Manager (CMgr) qualification.
